Linnell Keeling, CPD
Our Board
Board President, Creative Director
Linnell Keeling is the Founder and President of Scars of Beauty, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals affected by breast cancer through the healing power of photography and compassionate support. A professional photographer and Certified Professional Doula, Linnell offers empowering photo sessions and breast cancer doula services that guide individuals from diagnosis through survivorship—or end of life—with dignity, strength, and care.
A breast cancer survivor herself, Linnell was diagnosed in 2018 with Inflammatory Breast Cancer, Ductal Carcinoma In Situ, and Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (HER2+, ER/PR-). She underwent chemotherapy, radiation, bilateral mastectomy with aesthetic flat closure, and a hysterectomy—experiences that deeply inform her mission and her advocacy.
Linnell holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and is passionate about helping others reclaim their beauty, confidence, and voice during and after cancer. Her work encourages self-advocacy and self-love for every person navigating the challenges of breast cancer.
Savannah Allds
Secretary
Savannah is passionate about creating spaces where women feel strong, beautiful, and seen after breast cancer changes their bodies. At 31, she was diagnosed with stage 3C inflammatory breast cancer (ER+, HER2-), a rare and aggressive form that is often overlooked. Her journey wasn’t easy—she had to fight to get the proper diagnosis and treatment, an experience that fueled her drive to advocate for other young women facing similar challenges.
Being part of Scars of Beauty allows Savannah to turn that fight into purpose, connecting with survivors and helping build a community where every woman feels empowered and understood.
When she’s not serving as board secretary, Savannah works in IT, a role that fits her love for problem-solving and organization. Outside of work, you’ll usually find her on the water paddleboarding, planning her next adventure, or spending time with her rescue dog, Buffy. For Savannah, this work isn’t just about giving back—it’s about standing with women who share the same scars and stories and proving that beauty and strength come from what we’ve overcome.

Bio
Alison Talvacchio
Treasurer
Alison Talvacchio brings a unique blend of creativity, precision, and advocacy to the Scars of Beauty Board. By day, she works remotely as a bookkeeper and Accounts Payable administrator for Landmark Consolidated, a management company based in Austin, Texas, supporting construction and hospitality projects nationwide. Outside of finance, Alison is a passionate dance teacher, modern dancer, and actor, devoted to creative expression and community engagement.
Previously, Alison served for six years as the Box Office Manager at Dance Place, a renowned non-profit theater and arts education center in Washington, DC. There, she collaborated closely with the Board of Directors to advance mission-driven goals around audience engagement, volunteer coordination, and accessibility and inclusion initiatives.
In 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Alison was diagnosed at age 31 with Stage 1 triple positive breast cancer. Facing delays in "elective" procedures, she made the critical decision to undergo a double mastectomy with a flat closure—an experience that sparked her commitment to empowering others. Her personal journey, including a revision surgery due to lack of informed options at the time, fuels her advocacy: ensuring newly diagnosed individuals know their surgical choices and feel empowered to ask questions and demand care that aligns with their needs.
As a dance educator who works closely with vibrant, curious young people, Alison is deeply invested in raising awareness about rising cancer rates in younger populations and the importance of early detection. Having discovered her tumor herself—well before qualifying for routine screenings—she knows firsthand how lifesaving self-advocacy and early detection can be.
Andra Battochio, PT, CHT
Board Member
Andra Battocchio is a Physical Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of hand, wrist, and elbow injuries. She also works closely with patients recovering from mastectomy, helping address upper extremity impairments and scar mobility. Based in a remote public health setting, Andra serves a predominantly Native American community with compassion and expertise.
A lifelong outdoor enthusiast, Andra finds joy and healing in nature through mountain biking, running, hiking, walking, and snowboarding. She brings that same energy to her volunteer work with Scars of Beauty, as well as the New Mexico chapter of Casting for Recovery—a nonprofit that offers fly-fishing retreats for women in or recovering from breast cancer.
In 2015, Andra was diagnosed with Stage IIb invasive ductal carcinoma with lymph node involvement. She underwent bilateral mastectomy to flat, chemotherapy, radiation, and hormone-blocking therapy. After briefly trying implant reconstruction, she chose to return to living flat and has proudly represented aesthetic flat closure since 2019.
As an athlete and health care provider, Andra is passionate about helping others navigate the physical and emotional aftermath of breast cancer. She advocates for education around surgical options—especially aesthetic flat closure—and believes deeply in the healing power of non-traditional support, such as connection through nature and photography. Her mission is to help others see their strength and beauty, even when they struggle to see it themselves.
